i almost ran over someone driving home today.
i was going about 45 or 50 down georgia just before the best buy. i was in the right lane and there was a minivan driving right next to me in the middle lane. it was around 9pm so it was dark outside and rainy. this lady was just standing there in my lane by the bus stop. i dont remember her even moving or anything but i might be mistaken since it happened so fast. i just saw her all of a sudden when she was about ten feet in front of me, it was too dark to see her earlier. i hit my brakes and swerved simultaneously to my left and then immediately back to my right to avoid hitting the van. it was so quick, yet it was so natural as if i knew exactly what to do, i must have missed hitting the van by a few inches or so and literally barely missed hitting the lady. she was still in the lane as i dodged her. the van had swerved slightly to the left or else i definitely would have hit it.
I hope when she wakes up tomorrow, her cereal tastes better than normal, her problems seem a little less difficult to cope with, and her faith reinvigorated.
I just want to thank God that I did not hit her!
